Hello, Ombre

I just love how this card turned out!  I used Background Builders with my Stamp-a-majig to perfectly line up the patterns and create an ombre card.  This card also introduced me to what I think is going to be a personal favorite color combo--Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral.  So bright and springy!

Sadly, it isn't quite springy here yet.  It was way too cold and windy to take my photo outside, so I tried to use the natural light coming through the window...and you can can see some shade from the window panes.  At least it was a bright day!

Cheers!

Sympathy Poppies

I cased this card from stamping genius Mary Fish at Stampin' Pretty.  She has a lovely video explaining how to do the painter's tape technique, which I think looks fabulous under the Pleasant Poppies.  And it's so easy!

I never like sending sympathy cards, but this is a great one to have on hand.

Cheers!

Sparkles & Chevron

It was warm and sunny here this weekend--what a change!  I took advantage of the sun to capture the sparkle of this card, which is going out in many directions tomorrow.  One for a friend who finished her dissertation (yay! she did it!) and another for a friend who needs a reminder that she's awesome (she can do it!).  I love how this fun card works for both just perfectly.

I also love the chevron and the gold.  Don't you?

Cheers!

Inspired Monogram

I love monogram cards, and think  you can never have enough.  I also love these pillows at Pottery Barn, and was inspired to create as soon as I opened the catalog I just got...

So I combined the two to make some bright and fun monogram cards for a friend.  Those embroidered pillow cases sent me immediately to Mosaic Madness, where I found my border, and to bright colors.

I have plans to try a few more variations of these, and I'm really excited about my first one.

Cheers!

Another Valentine

Another quick Valentine that made me really happy.  I snapped a quick picture with my phone before sending this out.  The fading you see on the embossed edges is courtesy of Core'dinations card stock, and it's lots of fun to play with.

Hope you received some wonderful Valentines, and enjoyed the weekend.
Cheers!

We Still LOVE Stamping

It's been a while, I know, but I just wanted to swing by quickly to say Happy Valentine's Day!  And to let you know that not only do we still love stamping, but we're still doing it and have plans to return to the blog in earnest with all the great projects we've been hoarding to ourselves.

There were lots of changes in 2013, and those required a lot of crafting, so stay tuned to see what we've been up to.

Cheers!
