DSP + Ribbon = Wreath Magic!

Do you have a bin of old Designer Series Paper like I do?  Even if it's not old, use that DSP!  Now, whenever I go to someone's home for dinner or a party, I bring homemade paper craft.  What a great way to keep your creative juices flowing, to try new projects and to use your stamps and paper.  And, what a great house warming or hostess gift.  A thoughtful wreath that can be displayed is brings cheer right from the front door step.  They're usually so expensive at the stores, it's not only fun but economical to make one at home.  Try it!

Here's a summer wreath I made for Melanie's sister, Jackie, when we went up to visit her.  I can't believe I forgot to post it!  Looking at it now though makes me realize it could also work for fall.  Why not dip into some of your scrapbook/DSP paper to make a wreath for Halloween with non-traditional colors like purples/greens or purples/black.  Or, how about a Thanksgiving/Fall-themed wreath with browns/tans or browns/organges?  And of course, there are a ton of options for winter/holidays/Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa, etc.  Hope my easy-to-follow pics get you into wreath-makin-mode!

A Minnie Mouse Birthday!

For a niece's 1st birthday, I was happy to take on the Minnie Mouse challenge.  =)  Ayushi's one-year milestone was a black, white, and pink-polka dot fete fit for a beautiful little mousey!  Check out the invites, thank you cards, cupcake toppers I made with punches.  This is just another testament to how much [more than cards] you can make with just your punches!  Get them & get them in various sizes.  The trusty Big Shot can create the name banner & large round circles for the invites.  And, the fuzzy cake topper and table center pieces were fun craft projects in glitter & pom-poms.  Enjoy the photos & I hope this gets you inspired to use your Big Shot & punches for projects other than just cards.
